Due to the provisions of the 1993
Revenue Reconciliation Act, the portion of Colorado Retail Council
dues used in legislative lobbying at the state and federal level
is not deductible as business expense. The cRc staff also lobbies
to influence regulatory, administrative, and local bodies on behalf
of its members. Since theis law does not affect such activities
they are still deductible.
