Mr. Howes has served as President of the Colorado Retail Council since 2006. From 1994-1997 he served as Vice President and lead lobbyist on pharmacy regulation and related rulemaking actions by the Board of Pharmacy.

Mr. Howes’ thirteen-year lobbying career has been built on representing a diverse group of business industries in Colorado including; pharmacy, telecommunications, big box retail, tobacco, emergency radio, grocery, voting equipment, emergency first responders and commercial developers. His work on behalf of both the state’s chamber of commerce and the Colorado Hospital Association has established his reputation as one of the most trusted business lobbyists under the golden dome. His ability to work with the leadership and committee chairs in both the House and Senate is well established and valued by legislators.

Before moving over the State Capitol in the late 90’s, Mr. Howes was a Senior Associate at CRL Associates, a contract lobbying firm in Denver specializing in municipal and county government.
